Now that I've been attending so many educational conferences and presentations on ISTE island, I have dabbled in creating some business wear for women. I decided to offer them free to new teachers who might happen to find their way up to my skybox above AZTEA on ISTE Island 2. These suits have a different shape of prim skirt which lays straighter than the typical poofy dress skirts. That gives a more conservative look yet still has enough flexi movement to look good when walking.

I miss my friend Andy in SL. He usually was my partner in crime and would have us start ventures like T-Shirt shops.

While he's attending to RL, I have spent time working on more cocktail length dresses. They were for sale in my shop at the Rookery but one day the whole sim just disappeared. Bah!

I'm never going to be Nonna Hedges, Nicky Rees, or Simone. They are the top of the line in SL. I'm more like Target!

As much as I love the gowns, there is certainly something fun about a sassy shorter skirt so I decided to do some Oriental flavored cocktail dresses. They have a double skirt so they can be demure or flirty.

When I was about 8 I read a book called The Hundred Dresses by Eleanor Estes about a girl who was teased in school. Then I read the autobiography of Hollywood designer Edith Head called The Dress Doctor. These books did a lot to shape my ideas about creating fashion. I carried a huge sketchbook filled with my designs all through high school and was going to be either a fashion illustrator or costume designer so naturally I ended up getting married at 18 and sewing baby clothes instead.
